"Bring a Friend Weekend" Camp, Sept. 23-25

Pack 1 Mpls will kick off our 2022-23 Scouting season with a “Bring a Friend Weekend” Camp, Sept. 23-25, at Rum River Scout Camp in Anoka. Any Pack 1 Mpls Scout who brings a friend* can attend this camp for FREE! ... And your invited friend(s) can attend for free also! This camp-out will serve as our primary recruiting event this year. … We hope your friends will have so much fun with us at camp that they’ll join our Pack! And there will be A LOT of fun – archery, fishing, disc golf, obstacle course, gaga ball, a campfire with s’mores and a Campfire Program with skits, jokes and songs! And Scouts who remain unsure if they want re-join Pack 1 this season can attend this camp before deciding if they want to rejoin.

We will be camping in Campsites #5 &6. The campsites are divided into distinct "patrol sites" that will allow us to camp in Den groups. Each patrol site has a fire ring, picnic table and nearby water spigot and latrine. Only members of the same family/household can share a tent. Female Scouts can share a tent with a male parent; male Scouts can share a tent with a female parent.

* Note: Friends who will camp overnight must attend with a parent or parent-approved guardian and must bunk in their own tent. Friends who will attend just for the daytime activities, but will not camp overnight, can be chaperoned by the parent/guardian of the Pack 1 Scout who invited them, if they are in 2nd grade or above; K-1 youth must attend with their own parent/guardian. Siblings who have never been a Scout are eligible to attend for free, and can bunk with their family members.
